Being born to celebrity parents will keep any child in the public's eye. Bobbi Kristina's has managed to stay under the microscope even more since the passing of her mother, the late great Whitney Houston. Although we caught a glimpse of her life in the reality show, Being Bobby Brown, which was one of Bravo's highest rated shows, but not without some backlash. We watched how spectulations and her mothers passing affected her. Many were concerned for her well-being as she was reported to been hospitalized on a couple of occassions. With many stating anything from dehydration to a suicide watch.

She disappeared shortly after but resurfaced to do an interview with Oprah. As many viewers tuned in, it appeared as if she was in a fair state, but coping with her loss. Moving forward, she made a few appearances on Tyler Perry's "For Better or Worse" (TBS). She will also be featured in "The Houstons:On Our Own" (Lifetime) airing October 24, along with her grandmother Cissy Houston, her uncle Gary Houston and his wife Pat and their daughter, as well as with her adopted/Godbrother Nick Gordon. The pair has been spotted out and about surrounding rumors of a romantic relationship. It was recently revealed of her engagment to Nick Gordon and by the looks of it, not all are happy. Guess we must tune in to watch how things unfold.

Bobbi Kris is the sole beneficiary of Houston's estate and according to Yahoo,.. Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston — filed legal papers asking a Georgia judge to modify the existing terms of the late singing superstar's will. The family wants to restructure the inheritance payouts in an attempt to prevent anyone from trying to take advantage of her. The legal papers stated that Brown is a "highly visible target for those who would exert undue influence over her inheritance and/or to seek to benefit from [her] resources and celebrity." No hearing date has been scheduled on the matter. You can read more on Bobbi Kristina here.

It's a lot to take in for such a young adult (19 yrs old), let's just hope that she has the right "key" people around her to help her through her journey and we wish her all the best.
What advice would you have for Bobbi Kristina?
REVIEW_____________________________________

I ran across this product and read great reviews on it. I decided to try One 'n Only's Argan Oil about a couple years ago and been using it every since. As I stated in a previous post, I don't like my hair to be weighed down or heavy. This leave in oil treatment works great for my coarse dry hair, giving it shine, smoothness and movement. I'm also addicted to the smell. There are other products listing argan oil in it etc, but this is the best by far (that I've tried) and a little goes a long way. Just a dime size is needed, depending on your hair. In two years, I've only had 2 bottles. It can be use on wet or dry hair. The description reads:

One of the world's rarest oils, argan oil is derived from the Moroccan Argan Tree. Rich in essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and Vitamin E, valued for its ability to regenerate and nourish dry and damaged hair. One 'n Only Argan Oil is a premium finishing, smoothing and conditioning product. This non greasy, alcohol free formula instantly absorbed quickly into the hair, creating brilliant shine without leaving an oily residue. Smooths cuticle for the silky, conditioned and healthy looking hair. Help protects against damage caused by chemicals, excessive heat from styling and environmental factors. Eliminates frizz and color protection.

You can buy/search online or go to your nearest Sally's Beauty which is where I purchase mine or your local (bst) beauty supply store. Try it, read other reviews and see if it's a product that you would be interested in. Please leave a comment. I would love to know if it worked for you or if you know a similar product just as good or better. Thx!

No matter how many radio channels a person flip through, you will not escape the sounds of, the-ever-so-popular-chart-topping-heavy-rotation, "Adorn" by Miguel. His latest album, Kaleidscope Dream, is in stores now. Miguel's unique style, clearly visible via his music, his look and his performances, raises curiosity. Although there have been gay speculations, he recently was on The Wendy Williams Show setting things straight. Miguel told Wendy that "he has a girlfriend of seven years, who was backstage, and he's in love". He went on to say that "he plans to make an honest woman out of her". Gotta love it, Kudos! He feels R&B music should not be sterotypical to one look or feel, but it's ok to be creative and experimental. It's refreshing to see artist giving fans, as well as the industry, creativity at it's best. I'm really impressed by what Miguel brings, very dedicated staying true to his craft. This is one artist that we will keep an eye on to see what's next for him.

Her name is GOAPELE (gwa-pa-lay), born Goapele Mohlabane on July 11, 1977. A California naitive who credits Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Prince and Bob Marley as early influences. She admits the late great Whitney Houston was the first album she ever owned. This talented Singer/Songwriter has been tagged to "neo-soul" with the likes of Amel Larrieux, India Arie, Angie Stone and Vivian Green. Although she hit the scene with her first album, Even Closer, back in 2001. She followed up with her second album,Change It All, in 2005 before going on a six year hiatus. Goapele collaborated with producers and various rappers, which brings us to her current project, Breaking of Dawn 2011. I'm really loving her sexy, smooth song, "Play". It's her sensuous vocals along side the funky rhythms of the track that gives it a Sadesque vibe. I'm sure her fans can't wait to see/hear more from her and what else she has instore. Get the latest from Goapele here.

Navigating Through the Gray_______________________

I was watching Suddenly Single, a play where a happily married woman's life upends when her husband of 17 years up and leave her for another woman. I started wonder how many times women (and men too) go through situations like this. Umm...too many times to count. What happens when you've had the rug pulled from underneath your feet, in an instant? Some may find themselves feeling empty inside, can't eat can't sleep, still trying to hold on to hope. Asking themselves "what just happened?" Many bounce back, go to the club, have fun hanging out with friends, not thinking twice about it.

When devoting much time, energy, efforts, money, memories etc. with someone, separating or breaking up is never easy. Desires of a meaningful connection and wanting a happily ever after is natural, but never lose yourself. Instead kick your independency on auto pilot. Keeping yourself busy and motivation helps a great deal. We've all heard of going out on dates to help get over your breakup. This has proven to work for some people. Confusion may weigh you down and you may be in a slump but remember, this too shall pass.
Whether it's a mutual agreement to part ways but remain friends. Or you can't get rid of your ex fast enough, simply means move on to another chapter of your life. Try to get over the hurdle of trials and tribulations, and as time passes it'll become more prominent if it was right for you from the start. They say love is blind. How do you move forward without leaving a part of you behind?

I LOVE SMOOTHIES
__________________________________________________________________________________
Anyone who knows me know that I'm a huge, gigantic fan of smoothies. I've been making them for years and, as always, I've put my lil remix and spins on them. If you're a person who don't get enough fruits and vegetables, then smoothies are a great way to incorporate them in your diet. It's also a neat trick to get kids to consume them. Although smoothies hold great nutritional value, my only caveat is to consider the calories. Know the calories on all ingredients added, they can generate quickly.

I normally make a fruit medley smoothie (my basic), but there are no rules to which ingredients you can use, it is strictly personal preference. Many use yogurt, applesauce, honey, protein powders, liquid vitamins, veggies, etc.. If you are concerned of certain ingredients or have certain health issues, then by all means please consult with your doctor before adding something to your smoothie.

I love going to Sams to get my fruit but any local grocery store will do. Organic is always a better choice, but thoroughly wash your ingredients. I normally use frozen fruit (2-in-1, fruit and ice together), no need to add ice. Here is how I made this smoothie:

This is an open question with many variables depending on who you ask. The misconception is that men only want one thing, lol. In fact, men do look for other qualities in a woman. Although, there are men who date the same type of woman, same physical features and so on. Here are some of their other preference.
